Word Category Puzzle Strategy

Strong players do not simply know more words. They manage uncertainty, avoid tempting decoys, and use the remaining board to confirm each category.

Separate sure groups from maybe groups

A sure group has four words with the same relationship. A maybe group has a theme but weak edges. Submit sure groups first and keep maybe groups as notes.

Check whether the group type matches

Do not mix nouns, verbs, and adjectives unless the category clearly allows it. A set of four commands should not include a physical object unless the rule explains why.

Use the final eight words carefully

The last two groups often contain the trick. Try to split them into two exact relationships rather than guessing one set and hoping the rest works.

Key takeaway

The best strategy is controlled elimination: solve what is certain, then use fewer remaining words to expose the trick.
